This article struck me as indescribably iffy, couldn't put my finger on it...He didn't mention Israel or Palestine in the whole post...The Israel conflict is what has prompted him to write this post, yet he makes zero mention of it? Why?

At a guess, another Jew/Zionist who courted people who don't like Jews/Zionists, so has to tread carefully when he suddenly decides he wants to turn them to Zionist causes. Potentially, at least. I know nothing about him, but it wouldn't surprise me given the tone of the essay.
