I guess what I'm supposed to be kvetching about is "Palestinian officials" being at the end, and "a spokesman for the" being at the start.
Yes, the patterns of the headlines. "<assertion of claim>, according to X" carries a different connotation than "X just said <assertion of claim>."
Also the "we can't verify this" part tacked at the end.
