"Is there such a thing for a woman as a post-slut-shamed life? Or are they doomed to stay forever struggling in the quicksand of their hyper-public humiliation? A case of once slut-shamed, forever slut-shamed. Like a virus you just can’t shake off."
Probably, but not without a massive reformation in how women work at a fundamental level.
For the most part the single biggest barrier to women's actions are: other women.
All those fashion magazines, makeup tutorials, popular trends, and more are under social pressure from other women far, far more than from men. Sure the basic endgame is what a man thinks of things but the process that curates the journey is heavily influenced by women instead.
So if the FOTM [flavour of the month] is massive fake nails? Expect to see a lot of women wearing fake nails, no matter how cumbersome they will be on a constant basic. Subdermal piercings which can sometimes migrate the wrong way? Shoot me up, Mx Piercer dxde, because of course pointless social scoring from talking the talk is equally important as walking the walk, no matter how functionally retarded the footwear will be.
Women get told to sleep around, by other women, and then realise down the line how much of a misstep that was. Depending on how much scrutiny there is it could very well be possible to check back on the individuals that were advocating for these things and see just how much of their own advice was being taken. Did the leading woman follow her own actions and sleep with all the men she said she would? Or did she play a long con game of sullying the reputation of her competition and now gets to pick and choose from all the men looking for someone who doesn't have a body count in the double digits?
Long nails were a wealth symbol: They showcased that you were so rich, you didn't need to work in such a way that your nails grinded down. Or in less charitable terms, meant you were so inept at life, so useless at everything, such a pampered princess that you never had to lift a finger to even wipe your own ass.

PS. Long nails are disgusting.

So was being fat, both are disgusting.
I honestly believe no woman should take advice from another woman.
Yes they are.
So is the new trend: Fake Eyelashes. Gross.
Those are not new but seem to be more frequent and more excessive.
