You know what's the most fucking funny thing about this is? This bitch isn't even from there. She is some travel influencer who does nothing, but travels around. She is some online whore just spending money and having UWU times in poor countries, pretending that if she wears drab clothing and a backpack in Yemen, then we will think she is down to earth, instead of wondering how a random woman can afford to also have videos about Emirates First Class flights.
So she can pretend she is some big fucking hero of Afghanistan, but she is just a vulture, going there and filming videos in countries she KNOWS are shitholes, but will not call as such. She doesn't care about the people there, not even the women she pretends to be in a sisterhood with, she just wants attention for being a brave little vulture tourist turning geopolitical issues into freakshow spectacles covered in a layer of virtue signalling.
These types of travel Vloggers are all over the place and they're cringe as fuck. Don't go down the rabbit hole if you haven't already, you'll rage even more. These weirdos are the kinds of people getting all sorts of corporate sponsorships not just the free flights to push the message.
I think I first became properly aware of this shit back in 2016 right on the eve of the election when there were youtubers coming out about having been approached by the Clinton campaign with offers to do content for them. This is subliminal level propaganda and it's crazy how common it is. I also get highly suspicious these days of youtubers who barely post videos and mysteriously get astroturfed to the top of the algorithm and have noticed all kinds of weird algorithmic behaviour even in the games industry too.
I don't have a problem with content creators trying to sell me things, but never lie to me and try to fake authenticity. I've liked watching Guga Foods for a long while and he still does great content but it's getting a bit obvious now that guy is being paid to make specific videos because of how big he's gotten. He's gotten into the travel vlogging game as well.
I agree but at the same time it shows how even youtubers are taking part in this subliminal corporate/political propaganda. It's just so cheeky how on top of the sponsors we are now seeing people are trying to present paid videos as their own content when really they're just completely reading off a script the business told them to. Obviously I know loads of youtubers do write scripts and everything but it's a case of the business paying them is dictating almost everything they say. I suspect there are quite a few people online who probably aren't even aware that's what's going on.
I was wondering why her English was so perfect. It's clear she was raised in America/Canada, and is doing nothing but regurgitating globohomo complaints about the Middle East not being western enough.
