You're absolutely correct, yes - but the real reason to harp on this isn't to convince Liberals that they're being sanctimonious hypocrites(they don't care), but to point out to all the undecided fence-sitters that these people are two-faced liars with no virtue whatsoever and interested in nothing but power.

The same people who applauded a literal Nazi (ostensibly out of ignorance) are the same ones telling us we needed to involve ourself in a regional conflict, with no strategic interest, and then unilaterally voted to do so.
They're either so ignorant of this situation that they never should have involved Canada, or they knowingly applauded a Nazi out of political loyalty; you have one or the other.
