I would counterpoint though on "and prosperous populations are never served by mass immigration"
The richest are served by cheap labour, and more importantly labour who's presence is based on compliance. A corrupt owner doesn't want 0 deportations, they want to be able to report uppity or non compliant workers and have them deported.
