Home Secretary Suella Braverman claims illegal migration is 'existential challenge' and hits out at 'dogma of multiculturalism'
Just a few days before the Conservative Party conference, the home secretary set out how she thought the global asylum system should be changed. The address was made to a US think tank as Ms Braverman visited Washington DC.
That's probably one of the best single sentence summations of the issue I've heard.
I would counterpoint though on "and prosperous populations are never served by mass immigration" The richest are served by cheap labour, and more importantly labour who's presence is based on compliance. A corrupt owner doesn't want 0 deportations, they want to be able to report uppity or non compliant workers and have them deported.
Or wait until payday before "remembering" they have no right to work or even be in the country.
