Having an account lets you join specific topics, lets you subscribe to posters, lets other posters follow you, and Quora tracks how many people view your answers. I've had a Quora account since 2013.
I actually signed up some time ago literally just to upvote Conservative/Right-wing answers on certain posts. But I don't think it serves a purpose beyond that...?
Your feed? How does quora work? I know it bothers you to sign up whenever you click on a thread but does it really add anything of worth?

But why, quora rarely gives useful answers, it's only a step better than ask yahoo from back in the day
