I know Christians will possibly hate on me for this, but a very common theme with religions is you have to have some angry god you need to appease which is how religions control people through fear. You have to believe and worship in a certain way otherwise the god will punish you.
In this case the environmentalist movement seems to have taken the hippy bullshit about mother earth and gaia then put that on steroids. The right wingers aren't wrong in that the leftists are worshipping climate change as their new religion and honestly many of these middle class activists especially really believe in this shit.
Case in point of why I don't buy into religion at all, why does religion need to scare me into obedience? I mean I remember watching a debate on LBC ages ago and it was between a guy and this Muslim woman over the hijab and this woman honestly believed she would go to hell if she didn't wear her hijab. That's what's going on with environmentalists except they think the planet is going to kill them if they don't do something which is also partly why they get so mad when people openly make fun of them for it.
Reformed Christianity offers one path to eternity with God: Christ. We are saved by grace, which is freely given. That’s salvation.
If you know Christ, you’ll try to live according to the law God set out for us, which does include turning away from sin. That’s sanctification. It’s hard. We fail. But if we repent, we are forgiven of all of it.
I don’t have to wear special clothes or turn around three times and pat my head or sacrifice goats or give half my money to the church. Those things won’t save me. Only Christ. And he already did.
Justification and salvation are free gifts, according to the Bible: “... justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” -Rom 3:24
If Lutherans say God’s love is free and true, they’re right, but I’m just going by what the Bible says.

I’m not scared. I’m free.
Lutheran spotted
Interesting. Not a Lutheran.
