It's not as if our governments are any better, if anything, they respect even fewer rights (I'm not entirely sure).
And some of the stuff that goes on here would blow the mind of any American. You know how much gas costs? Or that in some countries, you have to take back plastic containers to the store to get 25 cents back?
Still, it's not all bad. I don't think they'd tolerate rioters burning down cities. Thank god for small mercies.
I've been on the internet for ~30 years: if there's been once constant in all that time it's Euros telling Americans how expensive their gas is.
But Incompetent government isn't all bad either. This is such a big country that even if the government were competent it couldn't hope to police it all. An incompetent government staffed by diversity hires just makes it easier to get away with stuff.
Downside is you basically have to be an expert in at least half a dozen fields, because you can't trust anything the "expert" class says about anything.
Yes, but I hear you guys crying bloody murder over gas prices of 2.40... a GALLON, which is about what we pay for a liter (1/4 a gallon).
That is probably why they have not taken away your right to bear arms yet.
Gas was $2.40 a gallon a couple years ago. I think the last time I filled up it was $5.40. Yes still cheap in comparison ~$9.00/gallon, but you'll forgive me if I consider the price more than doubling over a couple year period to be something worthy of taking issue with.
I could similarly dismiss the demographic changes which have caused crises in Europe and say that we'd have to elect Hitler to get a population that homogeneous. That doesn't mean it isn't a crisis to you guys just because our politicians have been working longer at replacing us than yours have.
Make no mistake, I'm not at all blaming anyone for criticizing the government for making their lives worse. Nor am I demanding, in the style of SJWs, that you recognize me as being worse off. Just that I find it amusing that we are so much worse off, but that the drones here think it is normal.
