I always put the qualifier in of I don't hate these people for real or anything, but it's why I often view them as bad if not sometimes worse than leftists now with how they behave.
I typically agree with a lot of what you say, but this here just misses the mark by a wide margin and I'll explain why...
With people who incessantly complain about things but don't enact change, they're effectively shouting into a void. It doesn't do anything. It's frustrating that they have a platform where they're essentially preaching to the choir, but it doesn't affect anything. That in itself is frustrating, but it's not inducing any malleable changes to the infrastructure on a sociopolitical or cultural level.
The opposite side of the factor is much worse for the simple fact that it cannot be ignored.
I can ignore a talking head on YouTube screaming about pronouns or a tranny character that they won't do anything about, nor encourage their fandom to do anything about (such as write letters to the companies, buy competing products, or at least try to stage a boycott).
But what I can't do is ignore everything coming from the Left that affects our society and culture. For example, a favourite TV show being turned woke is not something you can simply ignore and keep watching without supporting the wokeness, you have to stop watching the show. A movie franchise being used for subversion tactics means you have to give up watching and/or supporting those movies. Comic books and literature being used as platforms to brainwash readers means you have to stop reading those books or literature. And games being turned into vehicles for Left-wing propaganda means you have to stop playing those games and/or supporting the companies who make those games.
In effect, the people who complain but do nothing are just that, impotent ragers who can be ignored. But the people who are spearheading these changes and actually affecting culture as a result cannot be ignored, because your only option is to then either stop engaging in culture, or try to find an alternative culture to engage in.
And whilst creating a counter-culture revolution is always a possibility, you have to keep in mind that majority of people are not revolutionary creative types. Most people are of the proletariat variety who just want to work, eat, sleep, and be on about their day.
TL;DR: People who complain about wokeness in media don't affect anything. People who are turning the media woke are affecting everything.
