I don't consume or enjoy spergy content like that, but I am still glad it's around. He's obviously not going to convince any major devs directly to change their ways, but he does help rile up a rabble to go publicly fling shit at the practice of shoving gender ideology into all games and other media.
One of the bigger barriers to meaningful action has been the exploitation of the inertia of politeness to create the impression that dissenters are a small minority. It makes smart people want to keep their heads down rather than join a losing battle. Whilst it's proven very effective for SJ pushing intellectuals to have emotional, easily-led, belligerent footsoldiers on tap to indirectly threaten their opposition with, whilst publicly disavowing their actions.
The upwelling of angry, antagonistic public responses to an industry-standard level of current
year gender bullshit, race baiting and girlbossing in starfield is refreshing. And it's maybe an indication that the commentators actually have done something about their issues of complaint, by slowly emboldening their audience to be as loud and angry as them out in the wild and overwhelming the curated impression that most people are ok with it.
Sure, they don't often make the smartest points, and some of the rabble rousers are primarily in it for the grift. But I'm of the opinion that you'll never be free from grifters or easily led griftees, and the next best option is to have a healthy variety of grifters so they're all too busy undermining each other for any one camp to do serious harm. Like a healthy gut biome for the shit factory of internet commentary.
So I don't hate them. I'm glad they're around in fact, cringe notwithstanding.
