Is there any real prospect of one? I read hyperventilating comments about 'increased hospitalizations', so I checked hospitalizations stats in my own country - and they're at a record low.
Even during the original Covid run the "running out of space and supplies" scare about rampant hospitalization was mostly a myth, and where it wasn't was a handful of places that were already overcrowded to begin with.
So if they can convince the entire world to fall for it once, they can again.
That may be true in the US, but our government heath services did come close to being overwhelmed. Which is not to say anything about whether it was justified, particularly when the imminent threat receded.
