Closer to $2k, and a solid midrange would be around $1.3k. Not a huge difference, especially if I could be happy with keeping the high end twice as long.

Just be sure to get the screen with it. I know a guy who's thrown so much at a PC for his 1080p 60hz monitor. My RX6600 w/ i3 PC will do that. More most of the time right now.
