LTT is living proof that industriousness is more important than raw intelligence for attaining success. I used to watch the channel a lot, but any time Linus talked about anything principled or ethical it became clear that he was fucking retarded and it was infuriating to listen to.
Anytime they built anything was even worse, it was always so slap-dash and willfully ignorant. He bought like 100 grand worth of shop equipment and just set his chuckle fuck underlings loose on it and it seemed like they never even watched a tutorial vid on how to use anything. Even when assembling pre-made kits there was no patience or care taken so the fact that this blew up in their face doesn't surprise me at all.
Eventually I clicked off so many of the main channel videos that they fell out of the algorithm for me. The best content they have now is tech linked and spinoff channels where they just read news that some other more competent outlet has written.
Stop watching any of the content from that lispy Canadian faggot and his troupe of techbro fucktards. If it shows up in your recommended suggestions just click the "do not recommend this channel" option and you never see his bullshit ever again.
You have to know more than the people in the videos to use them on many topics.
Example : My son watched a Fender video on changing guitar strings... And needed a new set of strings. I sent the video to my dad while he was helping my son over the phone.
The person playing for a few years did not catch what my dad called slight of hand. The person playing bass longer than I've been alive instantly noticed the problem.
If anyone was wondering, no you do not cut the string while you're changing the strings. Despite what the Fender video says, you wait a few days before you cut the string.
I think he was successful because his name was Linus.
"He's the guy that made Linux right?"
He was even on Fade 2 Black as reoccurring guest back when I listened to it a few years ago.
