I honestly agree with the article, is the hypocrisy that I hate. Maybe you should not have every character be incredibly horny all the time.
That and I hate how camaraderie is completely foreign to the devs. Most times guys have a very close relationship without being sexual.
The problem of these kind of "dating sim" systems is that they run the risk of spending resources on dialogue and scenes not a lot of people will watch.
You can't really have a deep friendship and horny mode for every companion. Is just not doable.
That's why most modern games build romance along with the story, which this author condems as "problematic"
There is an easy fix to that, the way DA:O had, you had straight characters. alongside the bisexual ones. So you had your bro dude and something for the sodomites.
