The comments on that post too. It's funny how the barbie movie could literally send the message that "all men have it easy" and "men are disgusting pigs" etc. and people will go to lengthy mental gymnastics to try to justify how it isnt hateful at all, and its just men being babies about it. But if a female character in a movie isnt flawless or isnt written perfectly to these 'peoples' standards, even if its not intentionally trying to hate women, then is "muh soggy knees" (like how journalists are complaing that Oppenheimer is "misogynistic" because the woman isnt the star of the show). Redditors deserve the rope genuinely, I dont care if thats violent speech or not I hate these people so much. Also remember that patriarchy theory is inherently hateful towards men, as it literally frames men as a class as oppressors over all women. Same faggots who whine about white nationalists who hate the average jew because a handful of jews are supposedly in power, while they themselves dont think much differently when it comes to men.
This take makes perfect sense from the feminist perspective, when you realize that all women tend to fall into the Apex Fallacy - the only men they see are the 1 to 5 % that really do have it that easy.
The remainder of men are completely invisible to them.
It's why they have a constant refrain of 'you just hate women!' when they get treated 'equally'. From the male perspective, it makes perfect sense - you want to get treated like one of the guys? Okay. Except they don't want that - they want to get treated like the top 1 to 5 % of men cause that's the only men they ever notice.
They rarely get called out on it, though. And so they live lives of privilege and plenty, until something causes reality to hit, and hit hard.
We often bring up the apex fallacy in terms of dating, but it applies anywhere. Replace "men" with "top 5% men" in any complaint they have and their worldview makes a lot more sense.
That's a major insight. My wife is complaining about her job right now, and I keep pointing out I had the same job last year. Then she tells me its terrible, and I agree, but we have bills and this pays bills. It's the expectation of all men to deal with, and its really hard for her to accept.
