Ever been in a situation where a bunch of girls in a scene start giving you weird looks, ignore you, whisper to each other in front of you, and freeze you out of anything important, all because you said something that made someone feel "uncomfortable"? That's what's happening to Jason Aldean and anyone who gets cancelled. A bunch of people (mostly women and Jews) who get the "ick" about someone and decide they can't hang around the little friend group they call the economy of the United States of America anymore.
Sometimes these situations are resolved when a mean girl pokes a psycho girl a little too many times and they end up brawling in the parking lot where the psycho always wins. It's possible we need a similar solution.
No because I am a man and we generally didn't do that kind of stupid "mean girls" type shit. Our shit was often more physical, but then over quickly and everyone moved on and usually got along again after.
In my day we had the honour and etiquette to not actually have the fight at school. You'd get called out and have to meet at the local park at 4pm. Not showing up was the worse thing you could do. Then all you really had to do was give a good account and not cry if you got beaten. As long as you tried you got respect and then left alone. There is no honour any more
I envy you. Working in government is like being stuck in a 90s teen drama. Currently dealing with the fact that my department head doesn't like me because her 3 BFFs (all fucking morons) don't like me. HR is now pissed because department head's one BFF just won Employee of the Quarter... because department head failed to write her up for verbally attacking everyone else in the BFF's office.
I wish I could solve this issue with a few punches to the face. I'm like 90% certain that if I KO'd my department head one time, she would improve both in her intelligence and her problem solving skills.
Exactly. I hate the thought of bullying weaker people, but condescending bitches make me want to stroke out.
