Judaism is matrilineal. By their law if your Mother was a Jew you are a Jew even if you aren't part of the religion whatsoever, and vice versa with converting.
You seem to be under a very ignorant belief that being a Jew is only a religion. When the vast majority of Jews criticized are non-practicing and probably so far removed from their religion its basically a joke. They are Jewish by phenotype and bloodline too, which is why you can literally name off physical characteristics cliche to them.
Most of those Elite were just born that way. They didn't convert and they have extreme nepotism/in-group biases to only want people "like them" around them.
