The news is making a big to do about the southwest being super hot right now. Yuma is mentioned a lot. At no point do they talk about Yuma being hot anyway, and what a normal summer heat looks like. I'm wondering how they will respond to news about the monsoons.
I also suspect there is more obfuscation going on. Arizona was unliveable until AC. Everyone has the number to an AC fix it guy. All of the articles say that Arizona will be way hotter and no one will live there in a few years. Phoenix is taking on more and more Californians and others, so a national call to not move there because of heat seems a bit suspicious for reasons beyond global warming.
Arizona might end up too hot to live in if they keep electing Democrat leaders and taking on Californians who enact the same failed policies and can't maintain a stable energy grid.
That is a possibility. The problem is whether Arizonans are electing them or not.
