I knew it existed, but thought it came out a couple years ago. Guess that was just the early access, but a 3 year early access timeframe is concerning.
Call me old fashioned. But a 3 year early access is well into release territory, even if their content isn't fully done. They are still taking in the full price for a game and has been for the last couple of years.
I understand the sentiment and agree largely, but Larian really is an exception. They were very upfront about what early access means to them, which is mainly bug finding and tuning and never released any content beyond the first Act.
BG3 EA dropped during covid and loads of people bought in with out knowing this.

Meh, they have been rather upfront with it, people knew what they were getting into.
Original Sin II was similar.
Larian had a few mishaps as far as Woke stuff is concerned, but they did mostly deliver as gamedevs
