I thought I'd seen somewhere it was full of pozzed red flags? It's not? Or is this a case of nothing is ever good enough?
If it's not I wonder if I should check it out. Probably just check out the first 2 that I've never played instead. It's been a long time since I felt a current year game was an improvement on old games.
I thought so too, but I looked into it, and it may have been blown out of proportion. Then never specifically mentioned race, they said the aggregate of most popular character creation choices made the MC look like a "default vault dweller" or something. Still not the best look, but perhaps they were honestly disappointed more people weren't using the weirder options.
Still not a good look, especially considering "default vault dweller" was basically the foregone conclusion, but may not have been as woke as people (myself included) made it out to be at the time.
I simply don't know enough about the game in its current form to know how woke it is.
Larian are basically your average woke-adjacent normies. They want to conform to the progressive world view, but also aren't actual activists. They prefer "fun" and being non-political. But they will allow the infiltration of all the activist ideas, because they don't want to have uncomfortable discussions with the press/institutions and all their lackey followers.

It's probably somewhere in the middle. Devs were crying about people playing white human dudes tho
