I had this sort of argument with a (male) feminist claiming women can be just as good as men, nay! better even! at fighting, because they can compensate by better technique.
Well, the males can also improve their technique and destroy the female opponents.
Because men are physically superior. Something that is now taboo to say in certain circles, despite the very existence of women's divisions in sports tacitly admitting it is so.
Feminists will also cringe and reee if, after getting them to admit that, you point out chess and other sort of mental competitions have women's divisions too...
I mean it was the same with poker for a while. They had women's only events that men could "technically" enter, albeit it was frowned upon. Back in I think 2012 a man did enter and finished 4th, forcing them to change the rules a bit (now women enter for 1/50th of the cost of men, making it less appealing).
But what if the men also train harder...?
