Most of today's governments are essentially nepotistic dictatorships in one way or another. One of the few things about Russia at least is that they barely manage to conceal or cover it up from the public eye.
Don't be a fool. The West has one foot in the door of tyranny but isn't there yet. The fact that you can say what you just said and not be disappeared like happens in China or Russia is proof of that.
