I've probably checked the legalese on a few things Unreal related just out of a cautious habit, even though they've generally remained pretty reliable and fair, at least with how they treat developers using their engine.
Just demand that it become public domain on your death. I know you want to give your children a head start, but if the work is profitable your savings should be enough for them.
