The industrial revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.
I like to think most problems of tyranny and social decay could gradually be solved if we went back to a government described by the Constitution as written. But the people who wrote the Bill of Rights might have a different view of "freedom of the press" if they saw that free speech on social media means everyone in the world - whether they are a success or failure, a child, a retard, a network of thousands of bots run by megacorporations, the spy agency of a nation state, a member of globalist cult, or (gasp) a woman - can all have equal influence on the culture and morals of these United States.

I tend to agree with that but the trouble is there is such a web of entitlements wrapped around enough of the population. And they would never willingly let go of their gubbmint gibs.
