This is this some next-level of pandering.

And to what end? The jews will vote democrat anyway.
It's not to pander to jews, but to pander to Christians. A huge chunk of Christians in the US love Israel and think it's our duty to be their best friend. It's still mega cringe, but I don't think this is for American jews at all.
I think that's only part of it. Yes, Evangelicals are big into supporting Israel, but there is also a fact that the Israeli Right-Wing are quickly becoming political enemies of the Globalist Left. Israel's theocratic right-wing is not co-operating with the Leftist factions, and is seeking to damage them at an institutional level, while the Leftists try every trick in the book to keep the right from power (even through judicial corruption and fake movements).
"Pandering to jews and christians" is un-nuanced. Currently, there are a slew of progressive christians that are in favor of Drag Queen Story Hour and Black Jesus (See the Anglican Church), and the Pope is a Liberation Theologist.
We need to talk about which jews and christians. Trump supports the Nettenyahu right-wing coalition, which have a hard emphasis on making sure Israel exists for the benefit of religious jews. The Democrats get lots of support from progressive American and European jews & financiers that are more philosophically based in Zionism (a secular, progressive, nationalist, jewish state) that would be fucking purged from Israel if they were forced to adhere to jewish religious doctrine; even to the point of losing their citizenship.
Yeah that is a much better dive into the specifics.
Yeah, I've had to dig out my "Jew v. Jew" book a few times in my arguments on this forum with certain ConsumeProduct fans. The current political crisis in Israel is a big indicator of how the Leftists intend to try and defeat the right in purging the Judiciary. I'm not a fan of some parts of the Judcial legislation, but they are basically trying to over-throw the government with violent street protests after having already previously ousted Netenyahu (and failing to keep him back out).
Expect the lessons from Israel to be applied to the US even in the event that Trump wins.
