Does that include the (31%) employee tax they take before you get your salary? The (31%) county tax as well? How about the (25%) VAT? Or the special taxes like 400% plastic bag, 15% tobacco tax, 25% diesel tax, TV license tax, etc, etc... etc?
25% VAT? How does anyone afford anything? The fuck is wrong with Europe.
Salaries are generally much lower compared to the states as well. We have an office in the UK and I was shocked when I first found out what they're earning compared to people at the same level here.
But mUh fReE hEaLtH cArE makes up for it! Yeah no. I've done the math and at least for my profession not even close. There's a lot of things to gripe about state side and I definitely wouldn't mind another week or two of PTO but I quite enjoy not straddling the poverty line so tightly.
Yeah we pay for them to have private health insurance as well because the public offerings are dog shit.
They do get a lot of vacation, but I get 5 weeks and honestly I couldn't imagine taking more than that. I already cash out 1-2 weeks of it each year because I don't use it.
