Well YouTube is charging for 4k videos soon so..

They're also looking into monetising 1080p as well. And they're really pushing Premium hard for those who watch via TV. Ultimately I think YouTube eventually wants to paywall it's site with advertising, it's where other services are heading in terms of their monetisation strategies.
