FIFA are one of the reasons that MTXs are so prevalent in gaming. Oblivion's horse armor might have made it mainstream, but FIFA player packs made it money.

IMO the game is dumb, and as with all sports games there are people who do little else. Huge market. And you know what these people want: authentoc jerseys, authentic players. It's not about the gameplay
