That is true. I live in the Dallas Fort Worth area and I live in a red/purple county so you do see patriotism more. But there is a difference between what you see on tv in the major east and west coast hubs. I imagine in Kansas there are plenty of down to earth good people like you see in Texas. Or like I saw growing up in Oklahoma

I was actually just down in Dallas recently for a concert, so I know exactly what you are talking about. Hell, even the band was getting in on it, despite not even being American ("Our friends told us you Americans are wild. They were right, and we love you for that!").

Cool! I know Dallas is more liberal than the Ft Worth area. I got cousins in Dallas and they’ll invite me to cookouts and stuff and I tell them that I can’t go due to them living in a blue county. I’m kidding of course

It's at least nice enough I can walk around and feel [relatively] safe. At least around Deep Ellum (which is where the concert was). As opposed to the time I went to Denver and regretted it the entire time because the streets were packed with tweeked out homeless people.

I haven’t been to Deep Ellis in a while but it’s a nice area. Definitely some good areas in Dallas. I used to deliver auto parts so I got to see all over Dallas
