I lost even more faith in our citizenry today when I saw some people on Twitter saying that since these people are residents of a red state they shouldn't receive sympathy or federal aid.
I then saw other people clarifying that this was actually a blue area so they should receive more sympathy. Turns my stomach to see this level of polarization even during a natural disaster.
I personally don't care if an area is a blue area or a red area when it comes to feeling sympathy for people who suffer tragedies like this.
It is disgusting to me that so many people have lost sight of what it means to be an American. Too many people don't behave like they are part of one nation under God anymore.
I pray and grieve for ALL of our fellow Americans who have suffered during this horrific tragedy. I hope they receive the help and support that they need in this time of need.
You saying it's dead doesn't negate his argument that... it's dead, Jim.
People who fantasize about a white ethnostate in America are lost causers but if we imagine a scenario where the Right somehow got total control for a decade, it's not unreasonable to think they could bring back immigration quotas by ethnicity and repeal or modify the civil rights act to give people more power to vote with their feet. (freedom of association) Seal the border, obviously. Remove welfare and affirmative action rules that unfairly disadvantage white men. Enforce the laws and force illegals to flee back to their countries. Heck maybe even bring back voting requirements like you must be property owner, and others that naturally filter out the weaker performers on merit. Not the ideal dream of white nationalists but it would move us closer to what they and civnats both want.
First of all the right won't be winning many elections with how many people on the right still prefer an entertainer who is excellent at wallowing in grievance instead of a man who actually achieves results and pushes the conservative agenda forward.
The right wing movement will never get even an inch closer to total control until the people in the movement majorly wise up and start picking competence over empty bluster and bravado.
These images are extremely heartbreaking.

A nation is a people. America stopped being one nation around 2012-2013, although the ball got rolling in 1964.
Civic nationalism is not a substitute for blood.
Your dream of an ethno state is long dead.
The dream of civic nationalism is also dying thanks to rampant partisanship.
You saying it's dead doesn't negate his argument that... it's dead, Jim.

None of this is even remotely feasible.
