Everyone shilled FTX. How much due diligence can we expect a Youtuber to do when everyone from Forbes to the NFL to hedge funds says your sponsor is legitimate?
Assuming they had looked into it further, would there have been anything to fins? I was under the impression that the front FTX put up was pretty incredible if you weren't on the inside.
Hindsight is 20/20, but what SBF showed of the company culture should probably have given the hedge funds cold feet. So there was publicly available evidence that it was an unsafe investment if not of conspiracy, but even the people in the room were ignoring it.
Some have claimed to have had six figure deals with FTX in exchange for promoting it

Wait, what? You wouln't have gotten sixfigures for actually looking into the merits of the service. The apologies seem more than hollow.
On the actual ethical merits of the problem: As long as they disclosed that they were paid to shill that shit, I have no problem calling the people that fell for it, because they saw an influencer of all people promoting it, idiots.

I mean that's stuff that no youtuber is going to be able to see.
