Actual Discription: Batman is dead, and a powder keg has ignited Gotham City without the Dark Knight to protect it. In the wake of Bruce Wayne's murder, his adopted son Turner Hayes (Morgan) is framed for killing the Caped Crusader, along with the children of some of Batman's enemies: Duela (Keegan), an unpredictable fighter and skilled thief who was born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father, Harper Row (Smythe), a streetwise and acerbic engineer who can fix anything, and her brother Cullen Row (DiChiara), a clever transgender teen who is tired of being polite and agreeable. With the charismatic and hard-charging District Attorney Harvey Dent (Collins) and the GCPD hot on their trail, Turner will rely on allies, including his best friend and formidable coder Stephanie Brown (Lore) and unlikely Batman sidekick Carrie Kelley (Robinson). But our Knights will soon learn there is a larger, more nefarious force at work within Gotham City. This team of mismatched fugitives must band together to become its next generation of saviors, known as… the Gotham Knights.
And this is why radio stations that are little more than the same muzak channels played in grocery stores with commercials are beating broadcast tv.
Aired last night. Didn't watch. The pics are enough to cringe by.
I haven't read DC in ages at this point because they decided to up the ante so much with the Perpetua storyline then resolve it like Guren Lagann, except so much fucking worse because Guren Lagann having robots larger than the galaxy punching each other wasn't actually as retarded as it sounds.
Of the 6:
Turner Hayes: I have no fucking clue who this is. I can name you all of the Robin's that make up Bruce's adoptive sons and yet this name isn't one I've ever heard before.
/one quick web search later...
Turns out that's because he didn't exist before now. Go figure, probably done to avoid paying even more royalties to the creatores of Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian.
Duela: Duela Dent, as in Harvey Dent/Two-Face's daughter, but looks like the Joker so gets called "Joker's Daughter". Often pops up when someone tries to complain about someone doing genderbending Joker when in fact it's an actual character.
Harper Row: Blue haired grrl power character who mostly hangs around with Stephanie.
Cullen Row: Related to Harper, I guess.
Stephanie Brown: Robin 4 but better known as Spoiler.
Carrie Kelley: Again no fucking clue.
New War College is out btw.
Ugh, I know unfortunately. Read it last night and will post a follow up to my previous thread about issue 1 later today.
