I find it funny that the Russians play the "we are the anti-nazis, ukraine are all nazis!" card so hard when the nazis and SS are absolutely beloved by the Russian far-right nationalists and so many of them are like the dude pictured above.
The problem at the end of the day in Russia is the same problem with Nazis that the right-wing in America has also.
The propaganda against the Nazis after WWII was so successful and complete that many people today who should like the Nazis actually hate Nazis because of the propaganda. This leads to the paradoxical situations you've highlighted. It's no different in Russia than it is here.

Dunno man, "Nazis wanted to starve tens of millions of Russians" is pretty good reason to not like them as a Russian without any "propaganda".
