23 DeSantis gives his stance on Ukraine. He is against endleas blank check spending and against fighting a proxy war. He demands that the strategic objectives should be clearly defined. Neo-cons will seethe. The two potential 2024 nominees don't support their bullshit. Calling out endless blank check spending is not what any neo-con can stomach.
Calling out proxy wars is not what any neo-con wants to hear.
The GOP will be forced to accept that the days of neo-cons having full reign over foreign policy is over.
The eventual 2024 nominee whether it is DeSantis or Trump will be against forever wars.
Great to see.
I agree with the rest of what you said, but whether DeSantis is against forever wars remains to be seen. This is a hopeful sign though.
Regardless of what he actually thinks he's a smart enough politician to know that opposing them is a good idea.
This is the point that I am making.
I don't know what his personal feelings are but I do know that he sees that neo-conservatism is unacceptable to the base.
Go back far enough and close to every GOP (and Democrat) is a neocon. The question is whether they learned that this is bad for them, or don't.
The 'blank check' stuff is crap, I agree with that. Calling out proxy wars is great though.
Warmongering lines Raytheon's pockets, while calling someone a faggot doesn't.
