I had another reddit account banned over the weekend. Someone posted a comment that said Mohammed once cut the sleeve off his robe to avoid disturbing a cat that was laying on him. He ended by saying that the love of cats has deep roots in Islam.
I replied, "The love of child brides also has deep roots in Islam."
I got a bunch of downvotes and then a permaban. If I said the exact same thing about Christianity, I would have gotten upvotes and no way they'd ban me.
It's anti-Christianity masquerading as the more "rational" position of anti-theism, but they give themselves away when the opportunity arises to punish someone they dislike.
