It’s a slightly different way of saying it (in Aus, it can vary from yuzz to, uhh, youuuuuuusssseee), but I think it’s probably pretty similar to what you’re describing, at least in how it’s used!

Amusingly, in Aus, among the… “Less educated”, the equivalent is youse (pronounced like “ewes”)…
