SFO starts with the whole gym thot that's week's old but explains it to how men are trapped in a one sided hell if they aren't religious or Conservative where they can't flirt with someone working, public and if you share the same workplace, even if it's a consensual relationship HR will be up your ass so it all seems to be funneling men to only one place, the hellscape of dating apps. While women don't have the same issue, they can flirt wherever with little to no repercussions.
Thought it was an interesting chicken or egg debate, was this the left's plan all along to force men to be on these platforms that would further demoralise them or was this an unintended result that just worked with their other demoralisation efforts?
I’ve tried online dating and am thinking of trying again but my main issue with it is that it is great for women (rude and lewd messages aside) because even below average women get a lot of legit messages. I remember when I was on I’d get like 1 response for every 100 messages I sent and about half of those were scammers. Granted if it was reversed and women were messaging me like crazy I’d get a swelled head but I understand why men leaving dating sites much more than women.
About 20 years ago I tried some of the dating sites of the time along with a female friend of mine, so we got to compare notes.
About half my messages were unread and the other half got no response, after a two months or so and maybe 2 or 3 I would pick on a give day. By the end of it, I got back two responses: one calling me fat (fair, for 2005) and one lore-dumping on me about how many problems she had. Un-dateable, but I figured I'd be kind and give her some words of encouragement since she was going through a problem I dealt with when I graduated college and I expanded on the similarities and how I kept my head up. Her response? "I do not care about your problems."
She sent no messages and collected about 9 or 10 messages a day. Some were flat out penis selfies, but she really had her pick of dates. At the end: she figured out she really was a lesbian after all, lol.
