i can understand a one time deal, but monthly subscription? what is Twitter doing extra every month to make sure the account owners are still who they said they are?
I expect they'll just realize they don't actually need a checkmark. For many corporations, though, $1k/mo for twitter is absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of their marketing budgets.
Doubtful, smaller businesses will just bluecheck, while the whales will keep spending as that is a smudge for the advertising expenditure they go through each fiscal year.
It will be fine for big businesses. That's a minuscule fraction of their advertising budget.
Yeah, I hope it's business making X per year or with X employees/size rather than Jan running her solo business on Etsy.
