The pay structure was literally worse than what you'd see in Hollywood too.
In Hollywood, only the absolute 0.001% of top talent gets residuals. Almost every actor is being paid a flat rate.
If the movie flops, they still get paid. The studio assumes all the risk. If the movie is a runaway success, well, they still get paid the same.
If you're that 0.001% of top talent, and the movie flops... you still get paid. The studio still assumes all the risk. If the movie is a runaway success, they get paid a LOT.
NOBODY is signing a movie contract where if the movie flops, you don't get paid, and if the movie is a runaway success, then you only get paid whatever it was that you get paid. Even the lowliest actors get paid scale.
Daily Wire wants 95% of the risk dumped on their talent, and they want to pocket 95% of the success. If all of their contracts are like this, then it means if Daily Wire gets completely Alex Jones'd, their expenses for their talent drops to only about 5% / person. But they'd still be getting money from DW+ subs. How does that make fucking sense? Am I supposed to believe 95% of their revenue is from ads? I seriously fucking doubt that. Even then, advertisers will still pay to advertise to the shitton of DW+ subscribers.
