McInjosh's channel has gone completely under the radar. He's getting hundreds of thousands if not millions of views, and is taken seriously by people who don't know any better.
Joshintosh's channel goes completely under the radar despite getting over a million views on his videos because those view are from bots.
It is simply not possible to get that many views and yet have so little engagement or public profile. By his views, you would think he was bigger than Sargon, but he isn't. He's an almost total unknown who only ever gets mentioned in the context of discussing how irrelevant he became without his female sockpuppet.

Is that true, or is that just a cope? I see many mainstream sites like Verge linking to his videos.

But he's promoted by such sites. And I think it was a mistake to let him fly under the radar, rather than criticize him firmly, because now people can get away with just listening and believing to his videos.
Probably helps that his involvement with her isn't well known and his content is the kind of milquetoast nothing that gets put into facebook ads and quoted in tvtropes arguments.
If you keep it very ad friendly, minimizing curse words and inflammatory stuff, that's the kind of thing that social media kills for. Because the baseline acceptance of things like that is high, it rocks very little boats because nobody who would disagree with watch a JoshinTosh video to get mad at it.

Though I have not watched his content, the nature should be obvious from the titles. Like "The Adorkable misogyny of Big Bang Theory".

And yet we discredited Anita Sarkeesian. What's stopping those same people from doing it to Josh? They dropped the ball on that one.
Just checked and he has 2000 patrons on Patreon. Sounds like a lot.
