Ok doomer. The Republicans are the only vehicle for the Right in the US, period. That's how a 2 party system works.

If they're the only vehicle, then the rebellious 20 did the right thing in forcing their hand to create a new Church Committee. Because they sure as hell are not going to act in your interests without being forced to do so.

I find it fascinating that you are so anti-government yet believe in the best intentions of POLITICIANS.

No, common sense that democracy is a real thing that works more or less as is commonly understood.

It's been known for well over a century that "democracy" is totally fake. You may want to consult thinkers such as Gaetano Mosca. Empirically, the Princeton study shows that the US government does not represesnt voters, but the wealthy.

Of course they do. Not me individually, but me as part of the hundreds of millions of voters.

What incentive is there to represent "voters"? None at all. It's not voters but lobbies, billionaires and NGOs who pay close attention to see that their wishes are fulfilled. That's how you got zero regulation of companies like that Perdue Pharma. They can buy politicians, you cannot.

Yes, since all that money is used to try to change my mind and/or buy my vote

Don't be ridiculous. So if a guy who serves the interests of the solar panel industry gets a $50,000/month position at one of those companies after he is done corrupting the government, that's used to buy your supposed vote? Be real.

And it's not you they are trying to buy. But the people who can be persuaded. They can be persuaded by money. Ergo, money rules and not people.

Also, Trump proved that having a huge money disadvantage doesn't really matter, because people don't change their votes just because of big ad buys. Hillary massively outspent Trump.

You mean not that it does not matter, but that it is not an automatic loss. It certanly does not help.

Idk who you think truly runs the show, but I'm sure it's some shadowy cabal that "Illuminati" serves as an adequate placeholder for.

The elites are out in the open, buddy.

See this is what I'm talking about. We can't discuss this because you don't accept basic reality. Democracy might not be perfect but your claim that it is all fake and that voting doesn't matter, etc, sounds like something delusional an authoritarian government would say as a cope.

Voting clearly matters to some little extent, because there would not be a Church Committee without it. But generally very little.

I don't have to believe in their "best intentions" to know what it means to win and lose at politics.

Winning against the Democrats is the #1 priority. All this shit about how to make the Right "pure" is a luxury that we can only indulge in after we become the dominant power, and doing it now only keeps us weak and out of power.

And the way you win at politics is by pacifying the powerful. Not 'voters'. Hence the Princeton study showing the ordinary voters' preferences count for literal zilch.

All this shit about how to make the Right "pure" is a luxury that we can only indulge in after we become the dominant power, and doing it now only keeps us weak and out of power.

I disagree, you need unity when you are in power because then you are pushing your agenda.
