You really live in a Disney-like Never never land if you think there are 6 votes for sanity on the Disney board.
Bob Iger has already made some noises about how he wants to bring Disney back towards neutrality.
I'll believe it when I see it. It's possible that he learned to avoid meddling in the lawmaking process, but it's more likely that he'll just pick a target that's less likely to fight back next time.
Translation: He's going full speed ahead with the pedo shit at the very least. He'll probably repeat the shit Chapek pulled in a jurisdiction that doesn't have a DeSantis type figure willing to punch woke bullies in the nose.
I don't believe it at all, since it was Bob Iger who from outside the company was pushing the previous CEO to do something about the Parents' Rights Bill (perhaps as a trap to get him out, who knows).
That said, if there is a change at Disney, it will probably result from that, or the fact that DeSantis kicked their sorry asses south of the Donna Dixon line, and not scary womens!
Who said they support sanity? They don't want to be ousted by the people building stakes to take a seat on the board. Profit is the focus now, it has to be.
For the record, I support Mary Barra losing her seat to Nelson Peltz. It won't happen, but it should. She can't even run GM, why is she on the board of other companies?
He hasn't said anything about future content, as far as I'm aware.
OK, so if profit 'has to be' the focus for the men on the board, how come it is different for women?
I don't know who either are. But I have an inkling of why you'd support that.
But you did make a 'prediction' when the CEO had already made clear that Disney is at least trying to appear less obnoxious.
Because women in corporate fail upwards.
Mary Barra is the extremely woke, feminist CEO of
GovernmentGeneral Motors. Peltz is an activist investor with a big plan called "Restore the Magic" that he wants to present to the board. Even if he's woke, he can't be more woke than Mary "Government will bail me out" Barra.I don't follow everything Disney does, they're on my boycott list. I only found this out because I was in a conversation about Disney.
I recall that you claimed "women are the first to be hired and the last to be fired", only to post statistics showing that women did worse during the pandemic (without realizing it).
What makes her extremely woke?
