No arguments. More and more I appreciate all the times my mom dragged us to the library and insisted we read a lot and have a large vocabulary. At the time it was highly annoying but now it’s one of those things wheee you realize as an adult how wise your parents are.
Or if just tell them if they don’t want to learn because a white guy is narrating then they can wallow in their own ignorance

From experience: today’s crop of Uni students don’t actually know much. They just know how to do well on tests, and use long words in essays.
But if you ask them to explain a concept they’ve apparently learned? I don’t reckon most could.
I’m not immune to this myself, of course. It’s just something I’ve noticed…
