Climate, poverty, employment data have been provably manipulated to grow the size and scope of the US Federal government.
We can extrapolate from there that any additional data being put out that could be used to force Congress to shovel more taxed dollars into the waiting arms of the agency publishing the data has been groomed to suit the narrative the agency wants to push that day.
The fact we don’t have constant debate over the actual numbers and accuracy of numbers put out shows how far our academic environment has fallen.
Additional point: You must assume that much of the information not put out by government is actually also put out by government.
If the data's too inconvenient the government will stop recording it altogether, like defensive gun usage by the CDC or violent crime statistics by race from the FBI.
