In this day in age you are a fool if you believe that. There was a clear agenda. In the early 2000s Denzel Washington was in Man on Fire and that was a remake from an 80s movie I think. If they had said the race swap was due to Denzel blowing him away in auditions or being the best man for the job then I could believe them since race swaps were sporadic and Denzel is a proven great actor. Same with the Equalizer. Now race/gender swaps happen all the time and awards are won based on diversity now. So it’s BS when they make that claim.
