GLAAD has been pushing for overrepresentation for a while now. I wish someone would explain to them that heavily gay content does not appeal to the masses. Also they need to learn the actual percentage of lgbt in the population.
Honestly they need to just put money into their own streaming service. Make their own channel even. Better than demanding everyone else to watch their content
I used to not mind a gay character here and there but that overrepresentation combined with the current obsession with diversity and inclusion is the reason I mainly watch older stuff. 2014 and prior is my rule of thumb.
The simple fact that nearly all gay characters are faggots is the issue too. Look at Trailer Park Boys, who had two gay characters who weren't faggots nearly 20 years ago. No one gave a shit, no one complained, because they weren't annoying stereotypes.
Warehouse 13 is the best example of a gay character in my opinion. It only came up when it was relevant to the story. Outside of the episodes of a tv show where the gay character lectures the church about accepting them I didn’t mind it up until this mandate that they be in everything

Fags have been over represented for a long time now

The Office had a normal gay character.
