Firing Henry is going to hurt their bottom line even more. Should have done All Star Superman as his last hurrah or hell do the Kingdom Come storyline with him being the older supes. Either would be better than just wholesale getting rid of the guy that made people get excited about their shitty movies again

Yep. I actually read his comics before marvel was bought out. They honestly should’ve given him a different name because even when I read the comics I didn’t see him as Spider-Man. Now the usual “fans” on Twitter will talk about how he is so much better than the original as well as the usual shill sites.
I have his first app so will sell that when the buzz gets high for his movie. Or may wait til they do a live action.
The comic intro of Miles was pretty lame. All of his storylines were pretty lame too. I felt like Bendis really phoned it in with that title. I liked the movie though, it was really good.
Eh maybe. I’ve read a lot of his stuff over the years including his image stuff. He’s done some good work I think. I was a lot younger then too so it’s entirely possible it was bad, but I enjoyed it at the time. His later writing is lazy in my opinion. I avoid anything with his name on it and that used to be the opposite.
Yea they weren’t anything like the amazing or spectacular run. I enjoyed Web of as well.
You're saying Bendis wrote bad material. Never!
There is some level of interest in making Miles Morales similar to Spider-Man. Part of Peter's journey is that he is an "Everyman". That anyone can be like Peter Parker and work to do right. In competent hands, it would be a really interesting topic to explore.
Except that's not at all what it's about, rather the executive in charge of it has mutt kids and replacing the biggest hero with a black character is his way of trying to connect to the kids he damned by bringing into the world that no one will ever truly accept into their fold.
The Spiderverse movie, ironically enough, is everything right about animation. It doesn't try to be some crappy live action but slightly more colorful adaption, every element of it is tailor made to creating the story and world of a cartoon character and bring it to life.
Everything else about the character and the modern landscape of western comics and the western canon is a fucking joke, however.
Yea that wasn’t a bad movie. The last Miles Morales comic I read his mom mentioned kids in cages. I stopped reading modern comics a while back but still read older ones. Like I said at least I can sell his first app
