Feminists seeing this video, they see their own extinction..
Can this tech be missused to enslave humanity, yes, can nuclear power be used to kill millions, yes, can all technology be missused, yes. But this is one side of the coin, the other is this tech completely levels the playing field to where women can't use fertility as their crutch and actually have to provide a net benefit to society, nuclear power can ensure we have more energy available to be more productive.
I put this tech's danger as slightly below AI in that it's potential is equal to it's risks.
It needs to get to a level where a private physician can set up wombs in his office for families without any government intervention. Then it becomes much harder to regulate men out of the equation.
Though if it was ever that easy it does raise some scary implications wrt slave children, sex trafficking, and other horrors we've only just begun to imagine. (Adrenochrome Farms in our time?)
I had to look that up. All of it was major news sites saying it wasn't happening.
I think that fear can be spun both ways. While it could remove some of the leverage women have, it also gives women more independence with far less fear of personal consequences.
Either way, the end result is that everyone loses, save for whoever's in control of governments/corporations.
