I buy any driving game that isn't from a company on my list, and I ended up buying Dakar Desert Rally. I'm enjoying it, actually.
But when I booted it up, I froze in horror (okay, maybe I just sighed in exasperation) when I saw "From an Embracer Group AB company" on the loading screen.
I checked the box three times and it doesn't mention Embracer Group. Even in the little terms and conditions on the back.
Should I feel guilty that I funded my enemy?
Apart from paying lip-service to ESG, I don't think Embracer is all that woke.
Did you not see the new Saints Row?
Except Embracer seems pretty hands off. By your standard of one subsidiary, I could just as easily point to THQ and 8chan.
I did and it was bad, however I did notice that, while it was woke in the design, they did stay away from doing some in your face political message. It was just a bad game overall.
I haven't played any of the Saints Row games, so no I haven't.
